2 servings:
- 400g beef sirloin (2 pieces, 2cm thick)
- 300g salad mix
- 1/2 cup coriander leaves
- 1 Tbsp coriander stems
- 100g cherry tomatoes
- 1 cucumber
- 1 bird's eye chilli
- 2 garlic cloves
- 1 Tbsp vegetable oil
- 2 tsp sugar
- 2 Tbsp fish sauce
- 4 Tbsp lime juice
- Salt and pepper
Step 1
Marinate beef with salt, pepper and oil on both sides.
Step 2
Preheat a pan over high heat until it's very hot. Place beef in the pan and cook for 4 minutes on high heat (2 minutes each side). Let rest.
Step 3
Cut cherry tomatoes in halves. Slice cucumber.
Step 4
Use mortal and pestle to grind chilli, garlic, coriander stems and a pinch of salt until it forms a paste.
Step 5
Add sugar, lime juice, and fish sauce into the paste. Mix well.
Step 6
Slice the beef. Divide salad mix, cherry tomatoes, cucumber and coriander leaves into 2 parts. Place each part in a bowl. Top each bowl with 1 Tbsp of dressing and beef slices.
